Ho Ming Hermia Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) with Distinction from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Australia (joint degree with Hong Kong Art School) in 2021. She is a Hong Kong based artist specializing in oil paintings, drawing and objects that allow her to explore the relationship between people and the environment.

Hermia’s works are inspired by the environment and the mode of living. During her night walking without specific purpose, she depicts a unique aesthetic that only reveal itself at night. Connotative cityscapes are to visualize messages conveyed in the adventure. To Hermia, “walking is a spiritual and wearing process that is like a personal dialogue that builds bonding with the environment.”

In 2022, Hermia’s artworks have got the 6th Place Award and Special Merit Award in the 12th Annual “Cityscape” 2022 Online Art Competition – Painting & Other Media Category, Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, USA. In 2021, her artwork was awarded the Best of Show Award in the “Landscapes 2021” Exhibition organized by Colors of Humanity Art Gallery, USA. She was also the winner of Honorable Mention Award in November “Open” Juried Competition and Exhibition by HelvetArt Gallery, Switzerland (2021) and received Special Recognition Award in the 11th Annual “SeaScapes” 2021 Online Art Competition organized by Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, USA (2021).
