Nicole Roquel is an analogue artist and art teacher. Her artworks are inspired by the nostalgia of her childhood and her dreams. Her works also often address the celebrations and trials of her third culture upbringing as a Filipina born and raised in Hong Kong. Nicole’s visual language uses bright colours and dreamy compositions that juxtapose with her characters, who wear a somewhat melancholic expression and who sometimes don a creepy-cute aesthetic.
