DE SARTHE is a pioneering platform for boundary-pushing contemporary art from Asia striving to exhibit works that reflect the complexities of the 21st century. With a growing roster of emerging artists, the gallery continuously seeks to represent creative practices that investigate present-day social narratives conceived under the effects of new technology. The gallery also maintains an influential international presence in 20th century Modern and Post-war art and has been building museum quality art collections since its establishment in 1977. DE SARTHE Hong Kong is located in the heart of the city’s thriving Southside art district, Wong Chuk Hang. The gallery program is dedicated to promoting the upcoming generation of artists from Asia. Since 2017, the gallery has also hosted an annual summer residency program (deSAR) in support of artists from the city. In 2022, DE SARTHE USA opened in Scottsdale, Arizona. The gallery experiments with alternative modes of presentation and exhibits artists from both Asia and worldwide.

Founded in 2022 by Queenie Rosita Law, Double Q is a contemporary art gallery located in the city centre of Hong Kong. The gallery’s name comes from Queenie’s nickname, "QQ," to express its commitment to creating an open and welcoming space for visitors of all ages. Its year-round exhibitions are dedicated to emerging artists and art-historical rediscoveries, with the aim of contributing to the recognition and greater visibility of their work, particularly in Asia. The gallery is dedicated to supporting ambitious projects by represented artists, such as Marton Nemes’ participation at the 2024 Venice Biennale. gdm is a Hong Kong-based art gallery founded by Fred Scholle in 1974. Originally opened as Galerie du Monde, gdm represents more than twenty artists, nurturing a diverse roster of artists at all stages of their creative practices with a global perspective. The gallery has been acclaimed for its ground-breaking work in championing artists of postwar and contemporary movements such as Hong Kong’s Circle Art Group, and Taiwan’s Fifth Moon. gdm Projects launched in 2008 which transformed the gallery with a new emphasis on contemporary art and dedication to supporting emerging and underrepresented diaspora artists engaging with cultural identity and conceptual practices. Fostering collaborations with curators and institutions worldwide — gdm operates a dynamic program that encourages imagination and risk-taking, driven to provide opportunities for artists to amplify their voices within their communities, and across platforms in the international contemporary art world. To celebrate 50 years (1974-2024), gdm opened a new space in Taipei in 2024. With its opening, gdm Taipei will launch “Siōng Tshinn,” a special program that focuses on spotlighting emerging local talent, providing a platform for young, unrepresented Taiwanese artists to showcase their works. Through “Siōng Tshinn,” gdm hopes to plant meaningful and lasting roots in the local art community.

In March 2018, Hauser & Wirth Hong Kong—our first permanent gallery space in Asia—opened in the newly-developed H Queen’s complex. In January 2024, Hauser & Wirth Hong Kong moved to the new location at 8 Queen’s Road Central, at the junction of historic Ice House Street, Duddell Street and Queen’s Road Central. This new street-level home features exhibition galleries on both the ground and first floor. The transformation of this prime spot was overseen by Annabelle Selldorf of Selldorf Architects, a trusted collaborator who has created several exceptional spaces for Hauser & Wirth worldwide since 1996.
