From Here to There

Yrellag Gallery is delighted to invite you to the opening of our next solo exhibition, titled “From Here to There,” by Marco Wu. The opening will be held on the 7th of March 2025 from 5pm to 7pm while the show will be on view from March 05 to March 31st, 2025.

Marco Wu’s solo exhibition "From Here to There" uses window frames and paper airplane works to depict a sense of distance.

Through layered grayscale tones, the artist visualizes the trajectories of these objects in motion. The paper planes, serving as vessels incapable of bearing their own weight, pierce through the spatial boundaries between interior and exterior defined by window frames.

The works are housed in boxes with a sliding track, the four sides of each box forming the artworks's frame. As the track moves, the viewable portion of the work transforms accordingly, while shadows gradually vanish. The visible sections of the artworks and the depth of shadows are ultimately determined by the viewer's perspective.
